What is PARC’s mission?

At its core, the mission of PARC is to champion equitable, Africa-centred research partnerships that fundamentally shift the global research ecosystem. Through the Africa Charter for Transformative Research Collaborations, PARC seeks to rebalance power in global knowledge production, giving African institutions and scholars greater ownership, voice, and leadership. It is focused on embedding these principles not only across the University of Bristol but also globally, by forming institutional partnerships, influencing funding structures, and redefining how impact is measured in North–South research collaborations.
